UPVC – Multi Point Locks
Multi point Locks are often found on white double glazing doors or many new build properties, they are very secure as they dead lock at 3 points on the door once the handle has been lifted and are often recommended by insurance companies. Often faults do occur with Multi point locks after long periods of time as there are many moving parts. They are generally two parts to these locks, the cylinder and the complete mechanism. Our Locksmiths can usually supply and fit either within 30 minutes.
Night latches or (commonly thought of as Yale locks) are very common on most houses as they offer a basic level of security which is perfect for daytime passage, they are often used in addition to a BS3621 Deadlock for extra security. There are also (BS3621) night latches available for extra security and are often advised by many insurance companies as they also offer a deadlocking feature. Our engineers can supply and fit these within 30 minutes.
There are many different types of cylinder available but the 2 most common are the rim cylinder and the euro cylinder. These are found on many doors including wooden and UPVC doors, they are very simple to replace. There are also British standard versions of these cylinders available that are resistant to many forms of common attack including bumping and drilling. They can also be master keyed, keyed alike and signature only key cut. Our locksmiths can usually supply and fit these locks in 15 minutes.
Mechanical Digital Locks
Digi Locks are perfect for access control, they are found in many offices and are perfect for restricting access to only certain personnel, there is a short code that is entered upon entry and can be changed any time. Our Locksmiths can usually fit these locks in 45 minutes.
Letter box Locks
Letter box locks are very common on many new build complex blocks, the letter boxes are usually all found by the main entrance to the building and are secured by as simple cam lock, there are many different types and sizes and can usually be replaced in about 20 minutes.
There are many different types of window locks on the market, form push bolt to window screw; many insurance companies usually require the locks to be operated by a cut key so they cannot be opened easily. One of our locksmiths can usually fit them in about 10 minutes per window
Garage locks are very popular and there any quite few different types, the most common is the T handle which usually comes fitted as standard on the door and is accessed by a cylinder either in the handle or below. A Locksmith can usually supply and fit a garage lock in about 30 minutes.
